Bollywood actress Shilpa Shetty is now a judge of a dance reality show "Super Dancer" on Sony TV. After an outstanding performance by a 9 year old physically challenged Dev, Shilpa revealed a shocking truth about her birth.
Shipla is back in front of the camera but not on the big screen, she now judges a dance reality show along with Anurag Basu and Geeta Kapoor. "Super Dancer" provides a platform for kids who has talent and passion for dance. Dev is one of the contestant in the show, but he is not a normal child like other compititors. This 9 year old kid is physically challenged, he can't even walk properly. Dev has deformed legs since birth, but when this boy performed, he set the stage on fire. Dev performed on the song "Maai teri chunariya leghrayee " from the film ABCD 2. He got a standing ovation while his proud mother Neetu Varahini crying sitting in the audience.
When you have a passion for something, every obstacles seems small !
After such mesmerizing performance Shilpa said, “When my Mom was pregnant with me, the Doctors had said I will not survive since my mother was bleeding continusouly for 6 months. They also said that the born child will not be born normal but Mother decided that she would go ahead with giving me birth because she believed if i survive this, i will be a 'born survivor' . This child is also a 'born survivor' and he will go way ahead in life.” And she broke into tears.
Dev's mother Neetu came on stage and said, actually Dev survived because of his dancing. Dev had a problem in his spine at the time of birth and Doctors had given up on him telling the family that he would only survive for 3-4 days maximum. Dev's mother says that her son showed courage and later joined dancing school and started walking on his own claiming dance saved his life.
With tears on her eyes she said, "isne wahan laake mujhe khada kiya jahaan mai kabhi kalpana bhi nahi kar sakti thi.. aise bachchon ko kabhi kum na aanka jaaye.. mere jaisi kitni maayen hain wo sochti hain hamara bachchan aisa hai waisa hai.. mai to isko normally treat karti hun”
Hats off to you Dev, today you taught us a big lesson. "Its all excuses, if we love something from our heart nothing can stop us"
