WhatsApp is the most popular chat application available for both android and ios. WhatsApp is known for its simple interface and no ads, but recently its getting updates more frequently and adding new features to make it more engaging.
Earlier, there were few drawbacks regarding group chats but now the latest update will solve it.

Mention friends in Group Chat
When we use Whatsapp for group chatting its really hard to figure out who is sending what message for whom. If the group is big, then its a mess. Many users switch to chatting apps like Hike messenger or other for group chatting. But this time facebook's baby company has added a feature where users just have to type "@" and the list of group members will appear. Simply select the name and the message will appear with the selected name.
Group member limit
Earlier, we could add only upto 100 members in a group, this was annoying for people who want a large group. But now the new update will allow its users to add upto 256 members to a single group. The number is more than double now. So its a good news for group chat lovers.
Send Gif message
Now users can send gif images in WhatsApp. It is available for both group and private chat. This new feature will definitely make the chatting experience more exciting. KiK messenger is very popular for its gif messages.
To send gif images, first click on the Attach button on the top of the chat window to show Whats Tools share menu, then tap on the received message to open Download file popup. Finally choose the gif and send it to the group you are in.
Save group chat conversation
Now you can keep the complete record of group chat. It is a useful feature for those who discuss important information over group chats. Keep the entire group chat conversation saved by clicking on the group screen>Select Menu option> Click on Email Chat>Send.
Stop images from auto save
We receive tons of text message from group chat. But we not only receives text message but also alot of images and videos. If you want stop those media files from auto download and adds up in your phone's storage space just go to Settings>Chats> And turn off Save Incoming Media.
These updates will definitely solve all the problems we face while chatting in groups.
