To secure a bright future in the field of information technology, it is really important to grab a seat in top A grade colleges and those who fail to get admission in these elite colleges are labeled as less talented. But is it true?
It is a dream come true for students who manage to secure their place in Indian Institute of Technology as its known to be the pathway for a guaranteed bright future and those students who did'nt crack the entrance exam often suffer from depression and thinks there future is over. But there are some students like Manish Bhattacharya who never give up and set an example for rest of the world.
The story of this guy Manish from bihar will make you think differently that a rank of a college cannot define someone's talent.
After manish finished his 12th with science stream, he also had dreams like other students to get an admission in IIT, but due to his family's financial condition he is not privileged to get the royal studies. He also tried to get admission in government colleges but he also failed to grab a seat there after several attempts. Later he took an education loan and joined a tier 3 engineering college.
The turning point of his life came when one of his friends Facebook post said that he received an email from Microsoft thanking him for fixing a bug. “I was quite impressed by the fact that big companies are personally acknowledging students’ efforts”, he said.
After that, he dedicated himself in learning hacking and security issue of website. Soon, he earned fame by finding a vulnerability in Facebook and won Facebook’s Bug bounty program. He received $5000 dollars for it and paid off his loan.
Today, he earns more than an IIT graduate and his family couldn't be more proud. He also got many job offers one of them is yahoo, which he had to let go, but presently he is preparing himself to fly to US for work.
Today he is an inspiration for many students and am sure his story motivated you aswell. Never give up and always remember there is nothing which can measure your talent.
