There is a trend going on bollywood of producing biopics of famous sportspersons in India. When we talk about sports in here, first thing we get in our mind is cricket.
The Gentleman's game is the most loved and watched sport in India. This year, bollywood planned to release three biopics of famous cricketing legends.
"Azhar" starring Emraan Hashmi potrayed the life story of Azharuddin which has been released on the 13th of May, the next upcoming blockbuster is filmed on India's cricket captain Mahi, titled as "Dhoni : The Untold Story" which is going to release on 30th of September. Sushant Singh Rajput will be seen playing the role of M.S.Dhoni. Dhoni's biopic already got a huge success even before the release.
Then what is new in Sachin's biopic "Sachin : A billion Dreams" to beat all of these? Yes, we don't need a reason to see the biopic of cricketing Legend Sachin Ramesh Tendulkar. Master blaster of India has the most number of fans worldwide. But there is an X factor in this film which will make you even cancel your important meetings to see the film.
Do you know who is playing the role of little master in the film? Its none other than "Sachin Tendulkar" himself. Yes, you heard it right, there is no bollywood star to portray his role in the film. After all, who can play Sachin better than Sachin himself !
This film will be directed by James Erskine, who is an award winning director from London and will be produced by 200 Not Out, a Mumbai based production house. The film also casts Arjun Tendulkar and Mayuresh Prem (famous Marathi stage actor).
The shooting of this film has already begun and the film company already contacted the cricket board to collect the video recording of Sachin's previous performances. Though There is still no confirmation about the release date.
The film might show Sachin's life off the ground aswell. Am sure people are eagerly waiting to know about Sachin's struggle and his life along with his success in cricket.
