M.S.Dhoni : The Untold Story is already a big hit even before releasing. Indian cricket captain M.S Dhoni is a favorite of all Indians and everyone is eagerly waiting for the film to release.
Sushant Singh Rajput played the character of Dhoni in the film and by seeing the trailer which got a huge response looks like he has done well.
The director Neeraj Panday was often asked why he chose Sushant over Akshay?
Akshay Kumar is a very versatile and talented actor we all know, and he also played a role of a cricketer in his film Patiala House. Recently, Australian cricketer Glenn McGrath revealed that he would like to see Akki doing his biopic.
So finally Neeraj Panday cleared the dust off the question why he chose Sushant Singh Rajput over Akshay Kumar.
In an interview on 9th September, Panday said, Sushant is a very good actor. He reads the script very sincerely. He also picked the body language right
He also added, it is not possible for Akshay to play a 16 - 17 year old teenager in the movie as Dhoni's younger version. So I din't cast him as MS Dhoni.
Well it looks like he got a point, and given a valid reason for not taking Akshay.
He was also asked about the kind of research he did before making the biopic and how he has shown Yuvraj Singh in the film?
He said he did alot of research before starting his film. He met Dhoni's friends, family, coaches and officials who have worked with him at Kharaghpur.
He also stated "We don't want to hurt someone. Its a clean movie and Yuvraj Singh will definitely love it. You don't become big by hurting someone".
"The story of MS Dhoni is not just about cricket. It is his journey. If you are having a dream you can chase it and achieve it". He said.
