Drink water by inserting coin in e ATMs

The installation of Automated Mobile Water Vending Machine has been finalised by the Chandigarh Municipal Corporation.

The MC plans to setup Automated Mobile Water Vending Machine at 22 different locations next to e-rickshaw stands across the city. i-Satya Gram Food and Beverages taken the contract to install all the mobile water vending machine. The first machine is likely to be install at Sukhna lake for the inauguration on September 11.

Automated Mobile Water Vending Machine (e-ATMs) has been approved by the Municipal corporation under Smart Public Drinking System at Chandigarh. In the first phase e-ATMs will be install at 22 different location.

"To quench the thirst of the people on roads and markets, the MC has approved the installation of 22 such Smart Public Drinking systems in Chandigarh through Automated Mobile Water Vending Machines termed as e-water ATMs. The operating company will pay Rs 3.4 lakh as rent to MC for putting up such machines across the city. It will be taken as pilot project with recyclable paper glasses with drinking water at WHO standard. One can operate the machine with coin, prepaid cards or through mobile app" said by Mayor Arun Sood.

The Mayor also added, the machines will come with a screen to show the purity of the water along with temperature and if the temperature rises above 20 degree Celsius in machine, the water will stop dispensing automatically.
